Jan Mulder descends from a lineage of musical talent. At a very young age, the musical abilities of Jan Mulder were recognized. At the age of twelve, Jan won his first piano competition in his hometown of Rotterdam. He studied piano, organ, conducting, and composing at the conservatories in Rotterdam and Utrecht (The Netherlands).
Jan composes for television and film on a regular basis. He has contributed to more than 150 CD recordings. In 2003 he signed a contract with Universal, the largest record company in the world. Over one thousand of his compositions and arrangements have been recorded and published during the last decade.

Jan Mulder gives concerts all over the world. During the concerts, Jan Mulder plays his own Fazioli concert grand piano, a unique Italian instrument spanning a length of ten feet. This expansive and revered concert grand piano is one of fifty ever built. He refers to the piano as the soul of his performance ability. It can be heard on five CDs that Jan has recorded with The London Symphony Orchestra. His newest album, Ocean of Dreams, was recorded in Moscow, Russia. Jan Mulder lives in the United States.
